Looking to Adopt a Texas Pit Bull?
Whether you’re here in Texas, out of state, or even in Canada, we can make your dream of adopting a Texas Pit Bull come true.
Meet our Avail-A-Bulls!
Making Sure Every Dog Is Ready To Take Home
We believe that pit bull adoption should be a fun, but educational experience. Our dedicated staff and compassionate team of volunteer K9 Foster Custodians work collaboratively to save pit bulls and bully breed dogs from Texas shelters. Upon intake, all MASBR dogs receive quality veterinary care to address their individual health and physical needs. Then, they are matched with a volunteer K9 Foster Custodian. Foster families begin the process of helping the dogs heal from past traumas and prepare for future adoption.
Each dog available for adoption has its emotional, mental, physical, and health needs evaluated, documented, and fulfilled. For some dogs, only basic care is required and they are ready for adoption sooner; while other pit bulls may require a collective of basic obedience, training courses, behavior modification, socialization, and medication therapy to find balance.
Make A Stand Bully Rescue accepts pit bulls and bully breeds from all situations, with all backgrounds, and works hard to ensure their safe placement in adoptive homes.
How Adoption Through MASBR Works
The first step in pit bull adoption is to research the breed and determine that a terrier-type dog is the fit for you! While extremely loyal, friendly, smart, and athletic, bully breeds are also often stubborn, challenging, and powerful. This breed requires regular exercise, mental stimulation, structured discipline, and consistent training.
If this is the adoption adventure for you, then let us be your guiding map.
Please begin by viewing our dogs available for adoption. While all MASBR dogs are currently located in Texas, we do adopt pit bulls and bully breeds nationwide. To be considered for adoption for a particular dog, please complete an online application and submit all requested supplemental materials.
Upon submission of your pit bull adoption application, you will be assigned a caseworker who will guide you through our adoption process. They will also become your primary point of contact if you have any questions during the adoption. Your caseworker will then work with you on approving your home to adopt a pit bull. They can also provide feedback, upon request, if your application to adopt a pit bull is denied.
Thank you for your interest in adopting a Texas bully; we hope we are the rescue for you!
